My Name Is Khan

DramaRomance165 min

Shah Rukh Khan is Rizwan Khan, a Muslim man from Mumbai living in San Francisco with Asperger's syndrome, whose marriage to Kajol's Mandira, a Hindu single mother, is shaken by the suspicion and prejudice that follow 9/11. After authorities detain him at LAX and treat him as a terrorist because of his behavior and his name, Rizwan sets out across the United States to clear his name and reach the President. Moving between Mumbai and post-9/11 America, the film connects an intimate family story to the scrutiny directed at Muslims and immigrants.
