At Chicago’s District 21, uniformed patrol officers and the Intelligence Unit take on the city’s toughest cases, moving from street-level crimes to drug trafficking, organized operations, and high-profile murders. Jason Beghe is at the center of the squad, with Jon Seda and Sophia Bush among the officers working cases that can shift from a routine stop to a major investigation. The series splits its focus between cops on the beat and detectives chasing bigger targets, with station-house politics, interrogations, and fast-moving field work shaping each case.
