The Assessment
DramaSci-Fi114 min
In a climate change-ravaged future where reproduction is tightly controlled, Mia and Aaryan apply for permission to have a child and find their lives placed under a microscope. Elizabeth Olsen is Mia, part of a successful couple with Himesh Patel's Aaryan, whose home is taken over for seven days by an evaluator sent to judge their fitness for parenthood. Alicia Vikander's Virginia turns the process from a bureaucratic test into something invasive, pushing the pair to account for their relationship, their routines, and the rules of the society they live in.
