As the French Revolution tears through 1792 France, Richter Belmont is pulled into a war that reaches beyond the streets and into his family’s long fight against monsters. A counter-revolutionary alliance has rallied around a vampire messiah who promises to blot out the sun and loose an army of night creatures on humanity. Annette, a sorceress from the Caribbean, seeks out Richter to lead the resistance, while Edward Bluemel and Thuso Mbedu head a voice cast built around young hunters, mages, and aristocrats caught between uprising and apocalypse.
