ActionAdventureDramaFamilyFantasyMystery126 min
In 1930s Paris, orphaned Hugo Cabret lives behind the walls of a busy train station, tending its clocks while secretly guarding a broken automaton and notebook left by his late father. Asa Butterfield is Hugo, a boy scavenging parts and dodging the station inspector as he tries to repair the machine. When he crosses paths with Ben Kingsley’s guarded toy seller and the seller’s curious goddaughter, the mystery of the automaton starts leading Hugo toward a forgotten corner of early cinema. Martin Scorsese directs.
