With Batman gone and Gotham slipping deeper into chaos, Kate Kane steps into the gap her cousin left behind. She takes on the Batwoman mantle to hunt dangerous criminals, protect a city that has learned to live without its usual guardian, and prove she can do the job on her own terms. As threats pile up, the fight is not just on the streets but inside Gotham’s power struggles and secrets. The story then shifts when former convict Ryan Wilder finds herself drawn into that same mission. Taking up the suit herself, she faces enemies, suspicion, and the weight of a symbol that means different things to everyone in Gotham.
