Two Lovers

DramaRomance110 min

After a breakup sends him back to his parents’ Brighton Beach home, Leonard finds himself pulled toward two very different women. Joaquin Phoenix is Leonard, a troubled young man moving through family expectations and his own unsettled emotions; across the hall, Michelle (Gwyneth Paltrow) appears as an alluring, unpredictable neighbor, while Vinessa Shaw’s Sandra represents the steadier future his family can see for him. Isabella Rossellini and Moni Moshonov are Leonard’s watchful parents, grounding the story in cramped apartments, neighborhood routines, and the pressure that builds when desire and obligation start pushing in opposite directions.
