After his sister vanishes near Crystal Lake, Jared Padalecki is Clay Miller, heading into the woods to search the boarded-up grounds of Camp Crystal Lake despite the area’s long, bloody history. Around him, a group of young adults treating the lake as a weekend getaway run into the figure locals still fear: Jason Voorhees (Derek Mears). Cabins, trails, and dense overgrowth become the backdrop for a return to the franchise’s familiar setup, with Clay following rumors and signs deeper into the abandoned campsite where the killings began.
