The Chosen

DramaFamily60 min per episode

In 1st-century Judaea and Galilee, Jesus begins to gather followers from the margins of everyday life: fishermen, tax collectors, women with troubled pasts, and people worn down by illness, debt, and Roman rule. As his teaching spreads from village streets to crowded hillsides, each encounter reshapes a life and pulls new disciples into his orbit. The series stays close to those relationships, showing what it costs people to leave old loyalties behind and trust a message they do not fully understand. Jonathan Roumie appears as Jesus, with figures around him facing family strain, public suspicion, and the growing pressure that follows his ministry.
