The Bishop's Wife
AnimeComedyDramaFantasyRomance109 min
As Christmas approaches, Bishop Henry Brougham is so consumed by plans for a new cathedral and winning over a stubborn wealthy donor that his family and vocation start to slip out of focus. Cary Grant is Dudley, the angel sent to help, though his easy charm and quiet interventions only deepen Henry’s unease. With David Niven’s overworked bishop growing convinced he’s being displaced at home and in the parish, Loretta Young brings wit and tenderness to Julia, the wife caught in the middle.
