In Los Angeles, two people who are bad at love keep trying anyway. Gus is a polite, awkward tutor on a TV set who wants a stable relationship; Mickey, played by Gillian Jacobs, is sharp, impulsive, and trying to get her life under control after years of bad habits and worse choices. When they meet by chance, their connection is immediate, but so are the problems. Dating brings out every mismatch in how they handle sex, honesty, jealousy, work, and friendship, and even small moments can turn into bruising fights or sudden intimacy. As the relationship lurches forward, Paul Rust’s Gus and Mickey have to decide whether wanting love is enough to make them fit together.
