Madagascar
ActionAdventureAnimationComedyFamily86 min
A pampered quartet from New York’s Central Park Zoo lands in unfamiliar territory when an escape attempt — helped along by a band of runaway penguins — leaves them stranded on Madagascar. Ben Stiller is Alex, a lion used to applause and routine, while Chris Rock’s Marty, a zebra tired of life behind the fence, helps set the whole trip in motion. With Melman the giraffe and Gloria the hippo alongside them, the group runs straight into an island full of lemurs, including King Julien (Sacha Baron Cohen), where zoo habits don’t translate very well to the wild.
