Laila Majnu
DramaRomance140 min
In Kashmir, a free-spirited young woman from a conservative family falls into a consuming romance with the spoiled son of a rival household. Triptii Dimri’s Laila lives for the present; Avinash Tiwary is Qais, who becomes fixated on her even as a property feud between their families turns love into open conflict. Reworking the legend of Laila and Majnu in a contemporary setting, the film follows two lovers pushed together and pulled apart by family pressure, pride, and the damage left by a long-running dispute.
