After an unspeakable tragedy leaves a Philadelphia couple in mourning, the fracture in their marriage opens the door to a mysterious force inside their home. Lauren Ambrose and Toby Kebbell center the story as partners moving through grief in very different ways, with everyday routines turning tense and unstable behind closed doors. Nell Tiger Free enters the house as a young nanny whose presence brings new questions, and Rupert Grint appears in the couple’s orbit as their private crisis begins to draw outside attention. With M. Night Shyamalan among its guiding creative voices, the series keeps its horror close to the domestic space: meals, nursery rooms, and conversations that keep shifting underneath the surface.
