The Ugly Stepsister
ComedyDramaFantasyHorror110 min
Elvira is determined to outdo her strikingly beautiful stepsister Agnes in a fairy-tale kingdom where beauty decides status, romance, and power. Lea Myren is Elvira, chasing the prince's attention through increasingly extreme attempts at physical perfection as a Cinderella-style rivalry curdles into satire and body horror. Ane Dahl Torp and Flo Fagerli are part of the household pressing in around that contest, where every glance and comparison carries a cost. Told from the stepsister's side, the film turns a familiar fable into a darker story about envy, appearance, and the violence behind being chosen.
