In 1983 London, police are called when human remains clog a drain outside a North London flat, leading them to Dennis Nilsen’s door. What begins as a routine investigation quickly turns into the arrest of a man who calmly admits to killing multiple young men, forcing detectives to work backward through scattered evidence, missing-person records, and Nilsen’s own unsettling recollections. As the case grows, the focus shifts from catching the killer to proving what happened to victims whose names and stories were nearly lost. David Tennant stars as Nilsen, while investigators and journalists race to piece together the scale of the crimes and the damage left behind.
