As Nathan adjusts to life in Lakeview, every comfort comes with a price tag, and even basic choices depend on who is paying his bill. His closest guide is Nora, the customer service rep who manages his new existence from the living world, and their growing connection complicates both of their lives. While Nathan tries to understand the circumstances of his death, the series follows the rules, glitches, and class divisions of an afterlife run like a subscription service.
