A Most Wanted Man

CrimeDramaThriller122 min

When a Chechen Muslim slips into Hamburg, German intelligence moves quickly, unsure whether he is a refugee or a potential terrorist. Philip Seymour Hoffman's Günther Bachmann leads the covert unit following the case, relying on surveillance, informants, and uneasy coordination with other agencies. At the center is Issa Karpov (Grigory Dobrygin), whose arrival becomes a test of rival priorities inside the security apparatus. As more officials close in, the film stays with the procedural side of espionage, where every meeting, phone call, and compromise can shift the operation.
