In the early 20th century, self-taught Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan leaves home for Cambridge, carrying pages of formulas that few people around him understand. Far from India and working inside a rigid academic world, he tries to prove that his startling ideas are more than intuition. His uneasy partnership with professor G.H. Hardy pushes both men: Ramanujan needs recognition, while Hardy must defend work that breaks with accepted methods. As war, isolation, and prejudice close in, the struggle is not just to solve equations but to make the university believe in the mind behind them. Dev Patel and Jeremy Irons lead the story.
