The Man Without a Past

ComedyDramaRomance97 min

After arriving in Helsinki, a nameless man is nearly beaten to death and wakes up with no memory of who he is or why he came. Markku Peltola is the stranger as he starts over from nothing, drifting through the city’s margins, taking shelter among people living in shipping containers and keeping company with a moody dog. A shy connection forms with Kati Outinen’s Salvation Army volunteer, who offers him practical help and a measure of stability. From there, the film follows a life rebuilt out of odd jobs, small acts of kindness, and a past that remains out of reach.
