Denzel Washington is a titan music mogul, famed for having the best ears in the business, when a ransom plot traps him in a life-or-death moral dilemma. Spike Lee moves the High and Low story into modern New York City, turning penthouses, offices, and city streets into the terrain of a kidnapping case that keeps narrowing around one impossible choice. Jeffrey Wright and Ilfenesh Hadera are part of the ensemble surrounding Washington as the crisis tightens and the line between money, status, and responsibility gets harder to hold.
