My Wife's Husband

Comedy100 min

Fernandel is Fernand, a restaurateur who returns to France after thirteen years in Germany expecting his wife and his restaurant to be waiting for him. Instead, her life now includes Bourvil’s good-natured Norman chef, who has stepped into both the home and the kitchen. Their rivalry turns culinary as quickly as it turns domestic: the newcomer is devoted to butter-rich cooking, while Fernand insists on oil. Claire Maurier is at the center of the upheaval in a French comedy built around a long absence, a crowded household, and a battle of regional tastes simmering right alongside the marriage.
