Desperately Seeking Susan

ComedyCrimeDrama104 min

A bored New Jersey suburban housewife becomes fixated on the newspaper personals of Susan, a free-spirited drifter moving through New York City on her own terms. After an accident leaves her with amnesia, she’s mistaken for the woman she’s been following, setting off a chain of mix-ups that scrambles identity, romance, and daily routine. Rosanna Arquette is the restless woman at the center of the confusion, while Madonna’s Susan remains the downtown presence she can’t quite reach or understand. The story moves between suburbia and 1980s New York, with Aidan Quinn caught up in the upheaval around her.
