For one month every year, five grown men revive the game they’ve been playing since first grade, turning offices, backyards, and family events into battlegrounds of tag. Ed Helms is one of the longtime competitors, and Jeremy Renner’s Jerry has never been tagged. When the annual chase lands on the week of Jerry’s wedding, the rest of the group sees a rare opening to end his streak — if he isn’t already expecting them. Based on the true story behind a Wall Street Journal feature, the film follows a childhood ritual that has somehow survived jobs, marriages, and adulthood.
