Krish Malhotra and Ananya Swaminathan meet at business school, fall in love, and decide they won’t marry until they can win over both sets of parents. Arjun Kapoor’s Krish comes from a Punjabi family in Delhi; Alia Bhatt is Ananya, a Tamil Brahmin from Chennai. What begins as a college romance turns into a family negotiation, with differences in language, food, customs, and expectations pushing the couple into the middle.
