Affliction

CrimeDramaMysteryThriller114 min

In a snowbound New Hampshire town, policeman Wade Whitehouse is drawn into a suspicious hunting accident just as the rest of his life begins to crack open. Nick Nolte is Wade, a man drinking too much, clashing with his family, and slipping deeper into old damage he has never outrun. Sissy Spacek is the new girlfriend trying to steady him, while James Coburn looms over the story as Wade’s abusive father. As the case stretches through bars, back roads, and Halloween cold, Wade’s push for justice starts to blur with a more personal reckoning.
