The Giver
DramaFantasyRomanceSci-FiThriller97 min
In a society engineered to erase pain, difference, and choice, teenager Jonas is selected for the rare role of Receiver of Memory. Brenton Thwaites is Jonas, a dutiful young man whose training pulls him beyond his community’s ordered routines and into buried histories of war, loss, love, and color itself. The memories come from an older keeper, embodied by Jeff Bridges, who alone remembers what everyone else has been taught to forget. As Jonas begins to see what has been taken away in the name of harmony, the calm surface of his seemingly perfect home starts to shift.
