Moonraker

ActionAdventureSci-FiThriller126 min

Roger Moore is James Bond, assigned to investigate the hijacking of a Moonraker space shuttle and the industrialist behind it, Hugo Drax. What starts in California widens into a globe-crossing case, taking 007 through Venice, Rio and the Amazon as he follows clues tied to Drax’s private space program. Lois Chiles joins Bond as Dr. Holly Goodhead, a scientist with her own connection to the mission, while Richard Kiel’s steel-toothed Jaws returns to complicate the chase. Gondolas, cable cars, space hardware and Bond’s usual espionage tools all feed into a plot that reaches well beyond Earth.
