Into the Woods

ActionAdventureComedyDramaFamilyFantasyMusical125 min

When a baker and his wife learn that the witch next door has cursed their family line, they head into the woods to gather the magical items that might break it. Emily Blunt and James Corden are the childless couple at the center of the story, and Meryl Streep is the neighbor who names the price. Their quest winds through a tangle of familiar fairy tales, crossing paths with Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack, and Rapunzel as wishes, bargains, and old stories start colliding. Rob Marshall’s film keeps the stage musical’s intertwined structure while bringing the forest, the palace, and the beanstalk into the same darkly enchanted world.
