Annette

DramaMusicalRomance141 min

In present-day Los Angeles, stand-up comic Henry McHenry and renowned opera singer Ann Defrasnoux build a glamorous public life that begins to fracture after the birth of their daughter, Annette. Adam Driver is Henry, a confrontational performer whose act bleeds into his home life, while Marion Cotillard’s Ann moves between the opera stage and a marriage under constant attention. As Annette reveals an unusual gift, the film folds songs, celebrity, and parenthood into a love story that grows increasingly uneasy.
