Back to Black
DramaFamilyMusicalRomance122 min
Amy Winehouse's early years in 2000s Camden lead from local gigs to sudden global fame as she writes and records Back to Black, with the film following the pressure, adoration and heartbreak around the album. Marisa Abela is Amy, charting the singer's wit, defiance and musical focus as fame closes in. At the center is Jack O'Connell's Blake, the turbulent relationship woven into her songs and public life. Inspired by her lyrics, the story stays close to Amy's point of view.
