A Life Less Ordinary
ComedyCrimeDramaFantasyRomance103 min
When a misunderstanding leaves janitor Robert tangled up with rich-girl Celine after she accidentally shoots a suitor, the situation turns into a cross-country kidnapping with heaven watching closely. Ewan McGregor is Robert, the hapless abductor; Cameron Diaz’s Celine slips out of danger quickly but stays with him for the thrill of it. Above them, O’Reilly (Holly Hunter) and Jackson (Delroy Lindo) have been sent to Earth to make sure this unlikely pair finally connects. As ransom schemes, robberies, and divine interference pile up, the story keeps one foot in screwball romance and the other in crime-fantasy chaos.
