Arthur

ComedyDramaRomance97 min

Dudley Moore is Arthur Bach, a 30-year-old New York millionaire whose inheritance depends on marrying the woman his family has chosen. Instead, Arthur falls for Linda (Liza Minnelli), a Queens waitress with little patience for his moneyed world, setting off a clash between family expectations and the life he actually wants. At his side is John Gielgud’s Hobson, the butler who manages Arthur’s disasters with immaculate timing and a sharply dry line. The film moves through Manhattan penthouses, bars, and late-night misadventures, with Arthur’s privilege, drunkenness, and sudden sincerity all colliding at once.
