The Baader Meinhof Complex
ActionAdventureCrimeDramaThrillerWar150 min
In 1970s West Germany, journalist Ulrike Meinhof is pulled from writing about unrest to joining it after police brutally suppress a protest against the shah of Iran. Martina Gedeck is Meinhof, who leaves her family and falls in with Andreas Baader, the radical firebrand embodied by Moritz Bleibtreu. With Gudrun Ensslin beside them, they form the Red Army Faction, and street politics quickly gives way to bank robberies, bomb attacks, hideouts, and an escalating confrontation with the West German state.
