The Rainmaker

CrimeDramaThriller135 min

Fresh out of law school and short on options, Rudy Baylor lands in Memphis chasing any case he can get. He finds one in the Black family, whose insurer has refused to pay for treatment their gravely ill son desperately needs. What starts as Rudy’s chance to prove himself turns into a fight against a rich company built to bury claims, stall the truth, and outlast anyone who challenges it. As pressure mounts in court and outside it, Rudy also gets pulled into a dangerous domestic abuse situation involving a woman played by Claire Danes. Matt Damon leads a story about a novice attorney learning how ugly the system can get.
