Universal Soldier
ActionAdventureCrimeSci-FiThriller103 min
Killed in Vietnam and revived decades later as part of a covert military program, Jean-Claude Van Damme is Luc Deveraux, one of the military’s engineered “UniSols,” built to serve as a high-tech soldier with his past wiped clean. When fragments of memory start breaking through, Luc bolts with TV reporter Veronica Roberts (Ally Walker) as the army moves to contain him. Pursuing them is Dolph Lundgren’s Andrew Scott, another resurrected soldier from Luc’s Vietnam past whose conditioning is breaking down in even more dangerous ways. The film mixes military conspiracy, chase-movie momentum, and science-fiction action.
