Rio 2

ActionAdventureAnimationComedyFamilyMusicalRomance102 min

Blu, Jewel and their three kids leave Rio de Janeiro for the Amazon after word surfaces that other blue macaws may still be living in the wild. Jesse Eisenberg is Blu, a house-trained city bird suddenly out of his element, while Anne Hathaway’s Jewel embraces the pull of the rainforest. As Blu tries to fit in with Jewel’s extended family, he runs straight into her imposing father and back into an old enemy: Nigel (Jemaine Clement), the vengeful cockatoo still looking for payback. The move from city to jungle opens the sequel up to bigger bird flocks, family friction and musical set pieces in the middle of the rainforest.
