The Host

DramaHorrorSci-Fi120 min

A monster erupts from Seoul’s Han River in broad daylight, sending crowds into chaos and snatching young Hyun-seo before disappearing back into the water. Her father, food stand vendor Park Gang-du, is dismissed as helpless in the panic, then swept into a government quarantine after officials warn of a possible virus linked to the creature. Convinced his daughter is still alive, Gang-du breaks out with the rest of his fractured family and starts searching the city’s riverbanks, sewers, and underpasses ahead of the authorities. As they chase scraps of evidence and evade containment, the hunt becomes a fight against both the creature and the systems closing in around them.
