Blake Lively is Nancy, a medical student whose solo surf trip to a secluded beach in Mexico turns into a fight for survival when she ends up in the feeding grounds of a great white shark. Stranded only 200 yards from shore, she has to weigh every move against the distance, the water, and the predator between her and land. With the beach close enough to see but dangerous to reach, the story stays locked on Nancy’s shifting calculations, using whatever ingenuity and endurance she can to make it back to shore.
