Jack the Giant Slayer

ActionAdventureFamilyFantasyThriller114 min

After a young farmhand accidentally opens a gateway to a realm of giants, an old war spills back into the kingdom below. Nicholas Hoult is Jack, suddenly pulled into a rescue mission when Princess Isabelle (Eleanor Tomlinson) is taken into the world above the clouds. As the giants move to reclaim the land they once lost, Jack joins a royal expedition that pits his inexperience against court ambition and a threat far larger than the stories he grew up hearing. The film reworks the beanstalk legend as a medieval fantasy with castle intrigue, armored knights, and towering creatures returning from the sky.
