When the overconfident Boov take over Earth and relocate its human population, Rihanna is Tip, a resourceful girl who slips past capture and winds up traveling with Oh, a banished alien voiced by Jim Parsons. Tip is trying to find her mother, while Oh is avoiding the rest of his species after becoming an outcast. Their uneasy alliance sends them across a planet the Boov have busily rearranged to suit themselves, with Tip’s skepticism colliding with Oh’s eager optimism. As they stay one step ahead of the invasion’s fallout, their detour becomes tied to a larger threat closing in from space.
