Excision

ComedyDramaHorror81 min

Pauline is a teenage outcast whose fascination with surgery spills into violent, psychosexual fantasies and an increasingly dangerous sense of purpose. AnnaLynne McCord is Pauline, awkward at school, at odds with her family, and determined to become a doctor. At home, Traci Lords’s Phyllis hovers as a critical, domineering mother, while Pauline’s connection to her younger sister Grace (Ariel Winter), who has cystic fibrosis, feeds her fixation on fixing what no one else can. Humiliating suburban routines collide with gore-soaked dream imagery as Pauline’s inner life grows harder for the people around her to ignore.
