Florence Foster Jenkins

ComedyDrama111 min

Florence Foster Jenkins is a wealthy New York patron of the arts with a grand dream: to sing opera for an audience, despite a voice that lands very differently on everyone else. Meryl Streep is Florence, a 1940s socialite whose confidence is protected by her devoted companion and manager, St. Clair Bayfield; Hugh Grant gives St. Clair the job of smoothing over critics, indulging her ambitions, and keeping the illusion intact. As Florence moves toward a public concert at Carnegie Hall, the film follows the careful machinery built around her music, her money, and her belief in herself.
