The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent
ActionAdventureComedyCrimeDramaThriller107 min
Nicolas Cage is Nick Cage, a fictionalized version of the actor facing a career stall and financial trouble when he accepts $1 million to attend the birthday party of a dangerous superfan. Pedro Pascal’s Javi seems like an obsessive admirer at first, but the visit takes a sharp turn when a CIA operative (Tiffany Haddish) recruits Nick for an undercover mission. As the pressure closes in, he has to lean on the larger-than-life image he’s built on screen, folding his public persona, family problems, and action-hero mythology into the same increasingly chaotic mess.
