The Survivalist

DramaSci-FiThriller104 min

In a post-apocalyptic future of starvation, Martin McCann is a solitary farmer guarding a hidden plot deep in the forest with traps, a rifle, and strict routines. When a mother (Olwen Fouéré) and daughter (Mia Goth) turn up asking for food and shelter, his carefully controlled existence gives way to an uneasy bargain. The three begin sharing the farm, but every exchange is shaped by hunger, suspicion, and the constant possibility of violence. With very little dialogue, the film stays close to the work of survival: tending crops, protecting territory, and deciding who can be trusted when almost nothing is left.
