Phantasm

HorrorSci-Fi89 min

Teenager Mike becomes convinced that the funeral home in his small Oregon town is hiding something far worse than grief. A. Michael Baldwin is Mike, whose suspicions draw in his older brother Jody (Bill Thornbury) and family friend Reggie as they circle the mausoleum and its towering mortician, the Tall Man. Angus Scrimm gives the undertaker an eerie, implacable presence, while the film mixes hearses, coffins, and cemetery dread with supernatural jolts and the silver sphere that became its signature image.
