The First Omen
Horror119 min
In 1970s Rome, a young American woman arrives to begin a life of service to the church and instead finds a darkness that unsettles her faith. Nell Tiger Free leads as the novice, now working at a Catholic orphanage where disturbing signs and buried secrets point to something far larger than a crisis of belief. With church authorities and fellow sisters closing ranks around her — Ralph Ineson and Sônia Braga among them — she starts uncovering a conspiracy aimed at bringing about the birth of evil incarnate. The film serves as a prequel to The Omen.
