Forbidden Planet

ActionAdventureSci-Fi98 min

When the starship C57D reaches Altair 4 to investigate a scientific expedition missing for 20 years, Commander Adams (Leslie Nielsen) finds only Dr. Morbius and his daughter still living there, along with the tireless robot Robby. Walter Pidgeon’s Morbius is brilliant, guarded, and adamant that the crew leave before an unseen force strikes again. As sabotage and a deadly invisible presence close in, the story moves through vast alien ruins and Morbius’s underground laboratory, with an all-electronic score that gives the planet a strange, synthetic pulse.
