DramaRomance107 min
Chicago teenager Ren McCormack arrives in a small Oklahoma town and discovers that music and dancing are outlawed, turning an ordinary move into a fight with the adults who set the rules. Kevin Bacon is Ren, a city kid whose refusal to fall in line puts him at odds with the local minister (John Lithgow), a leading force behind the ban. Lori Singer is part of the town’s younger crowd, caught between strict expectations and the pull of rock music, parties, and the dance floor Ren wants to reclaim.
