As tensions between the United States and the Soviet Union escalate, a working-class Sheffield community is forced to face the immediate and lasting consequences of nuclear war. Framed in a documentary style, the film stays close to everyday routines, public systems, and family life as they begin to break down under fallout, radiation sickness, and the collapse of basic services. Karen Meagher and Reece Dinsdale are among the residents at its center, with the story following not just the attack itself but the damage it leaves on the city, its social order, and the generations that come after.
